Day 1 Arrival in Antananarivo

Fly to Antananarivo, the capital, and pick up by special car. Stay in a private mansion remodeled from a 19 th-century building and now owned by the Consul of Monaco, and feel the historic atmosphere.

Day 2 Travel to Andasibe, half-day tour

In the morning visit to the Royal Palace of the rulers of the Kingdom of Merina in the 17 th to 18 th centuries; Stroll through ancient neighborhoods that blend colonial style with traditional dwellings.

Then a car ride of about 3.5 hours to Andasibe. On the way, visit the ecological reserve established by French zoologists. Different from the original rainforest, you can observe a variety of reptiles, Vickers’ crowned lemurs and brown lemurs at close range. Wear headlights into the rainforest at night and explore mysterious creatures that are active at night.

Day 3 Andasibe explored all day long

In order to observe the best activity state of wild lemurs, follow the guide deep into Andasibe Nature Reserve in the early morning, hike for 2-3 hours, look for the largest Indri lemur in lemuridae, and have the opportunity to meet other 4-5 species of lemurs.

The Indri lemur is nearly one meter long, and its unique chirping can resound through the rainforest. They love freedom by nature, and they can’t be kept in artificial cages so far, because deforestation is on the verge of extinction.

Then visit Waknu Private Reserve, where there are four species of lemurs, such as brown lemur and bamboo lemur. In the evening, stroll through the local villages and visit the railway station, lively markets and streets built in 1930.

Day 4 Take a private charter flight to Bemaraha

Return to Antananarivo by car for approximately 3.5 hours and transfer to a private charter flight to Bemalaha National Park. Famous for its karst landforms and rugged limestone hills, the park is covered with steep and exotic stone forests. It is home to 11 species of lemurs and many birds.

Day 5 In-depth exploration of Bemaraha

Immerse yourself in the wonders of Bemaraha National Park all day long. The towering stone forest and deep canyon constitute “the largest natural maze in the world”, which has not been fully proved by the scientific expedition team. Walking in the stone forest, you have the opportunity to find the traces of Dyken lemurs and red-fronted brown lemurs.

In the evening, take a raft rafting along the Monamuporo River and enjoy the scenery of canyons on both sides. Visit the mysterious cave upstream and listen to the guide tell the history of aborigines’ ancient cremation ceremonies here.

Day 6 Half-Day Adventure to Bemaraha , baobab sunset

In the morning, under the guidance of a guide, climb and cross the limestone forest with the help of safety ropes, and experience a more adventurous and interesting route than yesterday. In the afternoon, fly to Mulundawa by private charter jet. At sunset, visit the famous Baobab Avenue, where more than 50 baobab trees more than 800 years old grow. In the twilight light, the guide will serve you a special sunset cocktail.

Day 7 Take a private charter flight Isalou

Take a canoe ride through mangroves and visit a village of semi-nomadic fishermen. Followed by a private charter flight to Isalu National Park. Day 8 Isalu National Park Trekking

Explore the Isalu Canyon and Oasis on foot, find hidden waterfalls, and enjoy the cool water in the naturally formed pools of the canyon. It is a paradise for 77 species of birds (including the rare Benson’s rock thrush) and 14 species of lemurs (the ring-tailed lemur is the most common).

Madagascar offers different levels of accommodation from luxury private islands to eco-lodges. In addition to classic rainforest hiking and lemur exploration, you can also choose to go to pristine caves to find bats, go diving in the sea or pure beach vacation.
